Snowbound at SAM Asia
We met at 10 am as a few snow flurries fell. During the two hours while we sketched inside 5 inches of snow fell outside.

SAM, like most museums, doesn't allow pen, ink or paint in the galleries. So we all used some form of graphite. I was snowbound in Olympia the next day so I took the time to colorize my pencil sketches.

Potential jurors, waiting word. 

I was called to jury duty in November. There was a lot of waiting. Waiting to hear if there would be a trial, and if there was, who would be selected for the jury.

I went outside to get a cup of coffee and came upon this . . .velorider -- an encapsulated three-wheeled bicycle. I spoke briefly with XXXX. He explained the basics - can go up to 30 mph, stays pretty dry since it has a skirt, much like a kayak. It drips a bit, but with the sweat you work up pushing pedals. Apparently theres quite a social network for veloriders. See www.veloride.blogspot.com for more information.
