The Great Wall
We approached the wall at Mutianyu. Not the most touristed sight so less crowded. Took a cable car to the wall, then walked and climbed along the wall's path. Guide book says, "Mutianyu was not part of the main Wall but a barrier wall shielding passes to the north towards Zhangjiakou. High paraets, crenelated on both sides, are part of the major Ming-dynasty renovations completed in 1569." Magical and impressive.

This is a glmpse of the way down. A water slide without water. You sit on a luge-like device that has a braking device, fortunately, and zip or mosey down the mountain. An olympics fantasy come to life.
