This gallery, studio and compound was designed by Ai Wei Wei (with the help of junior architects, including Connor) for the Beijing-based contemporary photographer, Rong Rong and his wife inri. RR, in fact, gave us a tour. It's a wonderful facility and a really interesting space and grounds. The grey brick is ubiquitous in Beijing and the block-style is very much Ai Wei Wei's style. The undulating bricks, you can see them popping out periodically, distinguish the facade.
